Dear Parents, Championships are here! This year’s band championships take place this Saturday, November 17th at Pierce College in Woodland Hills. The championship location was originally set in Long Beach; however the location had to be changed due to construction at the venue. The new venue is: Pierce College 6201 Winnetka Avenue Woodland Hills, CA 91371 The travel schedule is as follows: Report 7:30 am Travel 8:00 am – 10:00 am Arrive 10:15 are Unload 10:15 am – 10:30 am Warm-up 10:30 am – 11:00 am Dress 11:00 am – 12:00 pm Music 12:00 pm – 1:00 pm Stage 1:00 pm – 1:22 pm PERFORM 1:23 pm – 1:38 pm Sr. Circle 1:45 pm – 2:00 pm Activity 2:30 pm – 5:00 pm * students should bring money for meals and souvenirs View 5:00 pm – 9:30 pm Awards 9:30 pm – 10:30 pm Depart 11:00 pm Arrive back in Fallbrook 1:00 are Our performance time is set at 1:23 pm and awards will take place at 9:30 pm. This is an extremely long day for us, but it should be fun and exciting as we compete to make band finals. In the even that we place in the top 15 out of 47 bands, we will need to return on Sunday for national finals. The location for Sunday’s finals is: East LA College 1301 Avenida Cesar Chavez Monterey Park, CA 91574 Call time for Sunday will be early and will be determined by our performance time if we make finals.
